Tinker Bell Dinner

We did a themed dinner for Tinker Bell.  Maddie had a costume all prepared for this themed dinner and our friend Sarah joined us!

For dinner we had Homemade Dress Pancakes, Tink Links, Harvest Fruit, Pixie Dust Tree Lemonade, and Silvermist's Dew Drops.

Maddie has PERFECT Tink Sass.

Tink's Dress Pancakes
I found this recipe here and I cut them into dress shapes- they are Matcha Buttermilk Pancakes to give it the (albeit subtle) green look.

Ingredients:

1 cup of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
2 Tablespoons of sugar
1 egg
1 cup of buttermilk
3 Tablespoons of butter, melted
4 teaspoons of matcha green tea powder

Directions:

1.  Mix together egg, buttermilk, and melted butter.
2. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
3. Stir lightly with a rubber spatula.
4. Add in matcha green tea powder.
5. Use a ladle to get pancake batter on a hot skillet.
6. Flip after 2-3 minutes and cook for another 2 minutes (or until browned)

I used our recipe here!

Silvermist's Dew Drops: JELL-O Meringue Poppers
I used this recipe and tweaked a bit.

Ingredients:

4 egg whites
1 pkg of blue Jell-O Powder
3/4 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of white vinegar

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 250 degrees and cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2. Beat egg whites, Jell-O mix and sugar in a mixer (I used my Kitchenaid mixer) and mix on low speed for 30 seconds.
3. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes or until stiff peaks form.
4. Add vinegar and beat on low until blended.
5. Spoon into a ziploc bag.
6. Cut a bottom corner of the bag and pipe meringue into mounds (or dew drops) on the baking sheet.
7. Bake for 25 minutes or until the outside is firm.

I also included pictures from Grandma Cinny's Fairy Garden!
