To celebrate the final season of Game of Thrones we made an EPIC dinner! We have an adult dinner and a kid's meal. But don't worry, the kids didn't watch Game of Thrones, they just enjoyed some food!
For our FEAST OF THRONES we had:
The Boar That Killed Robert
Daenerys' Dragon Deviled Eggs
Winterfell Weirwood Tree
Hot Pie's Dire Wolf Bread
Half Brothers Brewing Company's Bastards of the North Imperial Stout
Game of Thrones For The Throne Golden Ale
Game of Thrones Chardonnay
Red (Velvet) Wedding Cupcakes
Iron Throne Chocolate (and other sigils)
For the Lil' Lannister in your life:
Little Finger's Chicken Fingers
Molten Crown Dip
Wildfire Jell-O
Milk of the Poppy
Sansa's Lemon Cake
The Boar That Killed Robert
I made my own concoction for the main dish using things we had in our pantry.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of Liquid Smoke
2 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup of water
1 tablespoon of meat rub seasoning of your choice
Directions:
Mix all together and cook on high for 6 hours or low for 3 hours.
Daenerys' Dragon Deviled Eggs
I used our deviled eggs recipe from 101 Dalmatians.
Teal Food Coloring
4 eggs
Directions:
1. Hard boil eggs (I did ours in the egg cooker).
2. Put eggs in water once done cooking.
3. In a Ziploc bag, place two eggs and 4 drops of teal food coloring.
4. Gently roll the eggs inside the bag and set aside for 10 minutes.
5. Start the deviled egg recipe above at step 3.
Winterfell Weirwood Tree
I found this recipe here.
Ingredients:
One head of cauliflower
2 Tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 Tablespoon of red pepper flakes
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cut the head of the cauliflower in lengthwise slices.
3. Place cauliflower slices on a baking sheet.
4. Brush cauliflower slices with olive oil on both sides.
5. Sprinkles cauliflower slices with salt, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
6. Cook cauliflower for 25-30 minutes.
Hot Pie's Dire Wolf Bread
I free hand cut crescent roll dough to look like Hot Pie's wolf and baked according to package instructions.
And it was tough. There are probably easier dough mixes to use... you should do that!
Half Brothers Brewing Company's Bastards of the North Imperial Stout
Game of Thrones For The Throne Golden Ale co-fermented in Pinot Grigio and Viognier Grape Juice
Game of Thrones Chardonnay
Red (Velvet) Wedding Cupcakes
I purchased these from the grocery store.
Iron Throne Chocolate (and other sigils)
We put these in the freezer for over a year (because we are SUPER dedicated) because the Tri-College Relay For Life last year was a Game of Thrones theme.
Lil' Lannister Meal:
Little Finger's Chicken Fingers
Frozen chicken fingers made according to package directions.
Molten Crown Dip
Honey Mustard Dip we bought from the grocery store.
Wildfire Jell-O
I made green Jell-O according to package directions.
Milk of the Poppy
This was just regular milk for the kids.
Sansa's Lemon Cake
I made this recipe here. I strayed a little from the recipe and it didn't set as nice, so I recommend you just follow the recipe!
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS TONIGHT!
