For Super Bowl Sunday we did a theme dinner! It was actually my mother's idea! I guess theme dinners are contagious. We did some Minnesota dishes (since that's where the game was), a New England dish for the Patriots, and a Philadelphia recipe for the Eagles.
For dinner I had New England Crab Cakes, Philly Cheese Steaks, "This Is Us" cheesy crockpot dip, Midwestern Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches, Surly and Summit Beer, and Football cookies.
My mom found some freezer crab cakes that were actually pretty good!
Philly Cheese Steaks
My mom cooked up onions and green peppers. She cooked steak strips separately until fully cooked. Then she added steak, pepper/onions, and Swiss cheese into a sliced hotdog bun.
"This Is Us" Cheesy Crockpot Dip
As many of you know, a VERY important episode from "This Is Us"
Midwestern Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches

Directions:
1. Slice tops from rolls and place bottom in a baking pan.
2. Layer ham and cheese on rolls and replace tops.
3. Combine butter, poppy seeds, mustard, Worcestershire, onion powder and mix well.
4. Drizzle over rolls.

Surly and Summit Beers
Representing some of the best beer in Minnesota!
Football Cookies
Precut Pillsbury Sugar Cookies from Hornbachers.
We had a fun weekend watching the Justin Timberlake concert.... I mean.. the Super Bowl and celebrating from Detroit Lakes!
