Fievel Goes West Dinner

We did a dinner for Fievel Goes West, a family favorite!

For dinner we had Mouse Burgers, Tanya's Tomato Soup, Wylie Burp's Sheriff Badge, Root Beer, and Desert Tumbleweeds.

Mouse Burgers
Tim made up regular hamburgers with cheese, of course!

Tanya's Tomato Soup
Poor Tanya gets tomatoes thrown at her during her first performance but thankfully you can make great soup!  We bought a can of tomato soup from the store.

Wylie Burp's Sheriff Badge
Pineapple slices were used to make up the star badge.

Sarsaparilla
(or just Root Beer)

Desert Tumbleweeds
I found this recipe here!  They were delicious.

Ingredients:
12oz Almond Bark
1 cup of Butterscotch chips
16oz of peanuts
3 cups of pretzels

Directions:
1. Microwave bark and chips together in 20 second intervals.
2. Mix in nuts and pretzels.
3. Drop spoonful of mixture on parchment paper.

Rudolph's Shiny New Year Dinner

To celebrate the New Year (we call it NOON year and celebrate at NOON), we had a themed breakfast to Rudolph's Shiny New Year!

For breakfast we had General Ticker's Waffles, Baby Bear's Just Right Porridge, Patriotic Fruit, Jurassic Eggs, Rudolph's Shiny Red Cocktail, and Reindeer Cakes.

General Ticker's Waffles
We had an Eggo waffle bar with butter, peanut butter, syrup, whipped cream and fruit.

Baby Bear's Just Right Porridge

My parent's made oatmeal in the insta-pot.  It was pretty good!

Patriotic Fruit
Bananas, Raspberries, and Blueberries make excellent patriotic fruit!

Jurassic Eggs
Well, I tried to color these but I didn't have any vinegar so it didn't work very well.    I was trying to do this but with green eggs.

Rudolph's Shiny New Cocktail
I found this recipe here and made both the recipe as is but also a non-alcoholic recipe.

Alcoholic (original)
3oz Vodka
1/2 cup of Cranberry Juice
1/2 cup of White Grape Juice
Cranberries

Non-Alcoholic
White Grape Juice
Cranberries

*you can add Cranberry juice too but if you want it to be easy to tell the difference, it might be in your best interest to follow my lead.

Reindeer Cakes
I bought these ADORABLE little reindeer cakes from Central Market in Detroit Lakes.  They are actually the best.  Seriously, these are so cute!

HAVE A HAP-HAP-HAPPY NEW YEAR!
