We did a dinner for Shrek 2 mostly because we had this SUPER HUGE gingerbread cookie kit that reminded us of the big one in this movie. We had a good time!
We had Royal Feast Pork with Apple, a Medieval Meal, The Frog King apples, The Happily Ever After Potion, and a Giant Gingerbread Cookie.
Royal Feast Pork with Apple
I got the recipe here.
Ingredients:
1 3lb Pork Tenderloin
2 large Granny Smith Apples
1/2 cup of honey
2 Tablespoons of cinnamon
Directions:
1. Slice Apples
2. Cut slits into the pork and place one or two apple slices in each slit.
3. Place remaining apple slices in the bottom of the crockpot and drizzle the honey over them.
4. Place pork on top and pour cinnamon on everything.
5. Cook for six hours on low.
Medieval Meal
Tim went to Burger King because he got a crown which aside from the chicken nuggets, were the biggest hit of the night for our toddler!
The Frog King Apples
I strategically sliced the apples and used candy eyes for the eyes.
The Happily Ever After Potion
We took this recipe and adapted it a bit.
Ingredients:
4oz of pear juice
3oz of vodka
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of imitation coconut
Giant Gingerbread Cookie
Crown models!
